The book has good information, it was just really out of date. I bought this book this summer when I moved to NYC hoping to do some sightseeing and discover the city. It seems like everyhting I did from the book, the price or location was different from that printed or it was closed. I realize that happens, but for it to happen pretty consistently is a problem. .

A good guide for a first time visitor. Easy to use-very informative. organized by interest groupings (dining, lodging, neighborhoods, etc) which makes it easy to find a specific subject. .

Frommer's Fan Forever!
While on one of the double-decker tour buses, I was able to follow along with the easy to read map included with the book and garnered information about various sites that the tour guide did not even address!

The information about prices, hours of operation, hotels, and necessities was accurate and much appreciated by our group. This book had me more informed than some of the New Yorkers I spoke with during my trip. My friends joked about my preparedness, but no one was sorry when we always knew where we were going, what it would cost to enter and how long we could stay. The tips about avoiding lines and how to get better deals were also very much appreciated!
