A beautiful book to read
The Insight Guide is a very beautiful book, and fun to just read, like a paperback coffee table book. My wife and I retired in Venezuela 2 years ago. We found the Footprint guide often unorganized. When we really want information, we go to our Bradt Travel Guide.

Venezuela
The pictures are great. The book is informative and takes a close look at the culture of the people. The amount of pictures are well balanced with the reading.

Not a book for the budget traveller
I was also disappointed with the layout of the book. Yes, this book has some great pictures, but is not particularly helpful in terms of practical information. The info regarding hotels, restaurants, etc. was not in the same section as the description of the town.
