She is fantastic at making you 'the person over her shoulder', tho I also noticed that the italian neighbours were described in more detail than poor Ed. It was one of those books you want to get back to, preferably with a comfortable chair and long, cool drink. The book sort of tailed off, and I would have appreciated a more rounded up version. Otherwise enchanting and put the creativity back in my kitchen.

Molte Buono!
Having just visited Tuscany including a visit to Cortona I could picture the area. I have read the book and enjoyed it very much. The author's style was excellent and poetic. I've also tryed some of her cooking style and recipies. Amazon got it to me promptly.

Under the Tuscan Sun book
I was disappointed. I loved the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" and so I thought I would read the book around which the movie was based. Other than the title and few minor characters, the movie and the book told two completely different stories. I still love the movie, but I'm sorry I wasted money on the book.
