An excellent read!!
I thought Sakatchewan was limited to wheat and football. As an Eastern Canadian, I knew very little about Saskatchewan's rich history. After reading this book, I anticipate travelling to this underrated province in order to discover its historic jewels firsthand. This book was very well-written. It touches upon the subtle flavours and treasures that form Saskatchewan's unique character. Meika Lalonde shows an extraordinary ability to present historical facts and stories with relevance and dynamism; no stagnant images of dusty relics here. This book now sits on my shelf alongside Crime and Punishment and Great Expectations.
